Revitalize

Metro Central

HFR-0003-200.jpgTarget: Upgrade and modernize our flagship branch so more people than ever can can connect and find hope, well-being and a sense of belonging.

Our Argyle Avenue facility is a central gathering place for downtown Ottawa’s diverse urban clientele of over 250,000 people.  Built 41 years ago, this flagship branch, once the envy of all other Ys in North America, has served the community well. But now it’s in desperate need of upgrading and expansion.

Studies conducted by independent firms show that a new and improved Metro Central Y will cut operating costs, improve the delivery of programs and services, and increase membership and revenues.

A revitalized Metro Central Branch will be the heart of our city, a place where people connect, find hope, well-being and a sense of belonging.  A place that genuinely cares—for the whole person and the whole community.
