Notes about the Campaign

The Y's Strengthening the Heart of Our Community capital campaign was launched in September 2008.

The Campaign Goal is $15 million in cash gifts and pledges.

The Campaign Co-Chairs are Jim Taggart, Taggart Group of Companies and Keith Taggart, Taggart Corporation.

The redevelopment budget is $33.2 million and includes the revitalization of the Taggart Family Y, the expansion of the Ruddy Family Y and the redevelopment of the Y's outdoor camp on the Ottawa River, the Bonnenfant Y Outdoor Education and Leadership Centre.

Over $12 million in cash gifts, pledges and gifts-in-kind has been raised to date.

The Taggart Family donated the largest gift ever received by the YMCA-YWCA, $2 million!
