Target: Upgrade and modernize our flagship branch so more people can connect and find hope, well-being and a sense of belonging.

Built over 40 years ago, this flagship branch, once the envy of all other Ys in North America, has served the community well. But now it’s in desperate need of upgrading.

Studies conducted by independent firms show that a new and improved Taggart Family Y will cut operating costs, improve the delivery of programs and services, and increase membership and revenues.

A revitalized Taggart Family Y will be the heart of our city, a place where people connect, find hope, well-being and a sense of belonging.  A place that genuinely cares—for the whole person and the whole community.

Your donation will help to:

• expand and modernize the fitness facilities with state-of-the-art equipment
• introduce new Kids, Youth and Family Zones
• renovate the pool and all change rooms
• renovate and expand the child care centre to better serve families
• create a new learning centre for newcomers and youth
• renovate the residence for all, including youth, families and long-term residents.
