Entrance to the Athlete's area for the start of all Ottawa Race Weekend events. There were a handful of Y Trailblazers about to walk and run in the 2k Running Room Friendship Run first thing Saturday morning, May 29, 2010.
But first, a donation! The Running Room raised $13,000 for the Y during the Resolution Run, held on New Years Eve. Rob Adams, Regional Director of Metro Central Y received the cheque from John Stanton, owner of the Running Room.
Running Room 2k Friendship Run Y Trailblazers included Jim Taggart (Campaign Co-Chair), Marian Balla (Y Family Division Co-Chair), Bruce Hillary (Chair, Campaign Community Division) and Rob Adams.

Y Ascent for Kids co-chair Gavin Lumsden, of Rogers Community TV and third co-chair of YAFK, running in the 5k race on Saturday afternoon.

And another… easy enough to spot in the crowd!
On Sunday, the Y managed a double water station and a gel station, at the corner of Sussex and King Edward. 104 Y volunteers served water or Gatorade to 14,926 walkers and runners!
All 104 Y water station volunteers saying hello! Some with their blue gloves on - all water servers wore gloves for health and safety reasons.
